About the Artist

Keri Lyn Flora

American Free-lance Artist

b. 1993; lives and works in Charleston, SC as an artist and fine-art framer.

Interested in art from a young age, Keri completed art classes throughout her early school career, went on to complete art classes at the Technical College of the Lowcountry, and two years in the Studio Art program at The University of South Carolina Beaufort.

Keri is a multimedia artist, working mostly in mixed media watercolor and alkyd oil paint on engraved copper to explore the subject matter of female form within the organic aspects of nature. Her subject matter often depicts iconified realistic female forms with an air of fantasy and the surreal. Inspired by flora, coupled with the allure of female form; Keri has an illustrative, whimsically idyllic style of portraiture that transcends multiple mediums to convey the fragility and beauty of the human psyche.

“Everything I paint feels like an extension of myself, be it in the physical reference photos or in my personal thoughts and ideas I’m searching to portray. Some are heavier thoughts than others, but each takes a piece of me with it as if I’m literally crafting my own legacy each time I pick up a brush.” -Keri
